Raas Royalty has become one of the largest cultural shows in and around the state of Indiana. Held at the Indiana University Auditorium in Bloomington, Indiana, the event creates an opportunity to get a taste of the vast tradition of South Asia. Eight teams from across the nation travel and compete in a type of Indian dance called Raas Garba. Originally a more traditional form of dance, it has evolved and become part of a competitive dance circuit. Along with putting on such a colorful display of Indian culture, the event raises money for its partnering organization, Timmy Global Health.
